Salt Dough

Sometimes my kids watch these simple, repetitive shows on TV where cars go down a ramp into a pool of paint and emerge a different color. The other day my son asked if he could roll his vehicles through paint and while I was thinking of a child friendly way to say “hell no”, I sudden remembered salt dough (that was actually the alternate title to this post- “From Hell No to Salt Dough in Five Easy Steps!”

I said “No, we can’t roll them through paint but what about salt dough?” That was met with a blank stare so I tried, “It’s like sticky splat from PJ Mask”. Yes! They we’re all in.

Salt Dough

1 cup of salt

2 cups of flour

1 cup of warm water

Mix these together until you get doughy consistency. You can use it to run your cars through OR you can actually use it as clay, create things and then bake it. We did that recently and I’ll post about it soon.
